Daehwa Kim

I am a research associate at Future Interfaces Group, Carnegie Mellon University. Here, I am making a nice journey to explore new touch input and human pose tracking technologies with Professor Chris Harrison. Formerly, I completed my Masters at KAIST HCIL, where I had a great opportunity to work with Professor Geehyuk Lee. My research goal is to enrich the expressiveness and degrees of freedom of interfaces so that they create new and pleasant experiences for users. My research interests lie in sensing technologies, sensor fabrication, and AR/VR/MR interfaces. I presented full papers at ACM CHI and UIST and have received an Honorable Mention award at CHI 2021.

I am actively looking for Ph.D. positions for Fall 2022!
